I see the Moon
in my soup bowl
stir, stir, stir, but
it won't mix in!
2.. [From a poem collection on a mystical place called Blue Mountain]
We think there's a madman (?) that roams the mountain
and wears a blue cloak to hide in it's rocks.
that spins his edicts on cloud…

Day 6 - International Zine Month

I got a bunch of new zines in the mail today to read!!
And I have been writing a lot the last few days, for two different zines I'm writing, Bookstore Thief #2 and a so-far-untitled zine that will be interesting tidbits about all the places I've lived. Or maybe part 1 of all the places, as there are a lot.
I sent off a piece for a friend's zine that's all about zombies.
Tuesday I ordered a headset with mic from Amazon, as I've decided I want to start doing my own…

I haven't made it to any zine fests yet, so it's cool to have a kind of virtual zine fest going on for a month. As of 7/1 I've been checking in here several times a day instead of just once a week or so. I also submitted a couple of orders to distros I haven't ordered from before (Desert City Death Distro and Things You Say Distro.) My zines are pretty well organized, so I just dug into my zines for the reads yesterday.
Today I'm apparently doing a 24 hour zine. Because I said so.…

I'm caught up listening to Alex and Derek's Nobody Cares About Your Stupid Zine podcast and so I'm participating in International Zine Month. Yesterday I ordered zines from 3 distros I hadn't before, and today I've put together pkgs to send my zines to 4 different distros!

Tension Twosome (kids poems from the Musea Vaults)
Here are two recent kids poems of mine that I’ll collectively call a ‘Tension Twosome’. (For more such kids poetry see my book “Moon Tea”)
SHOT OUT OF A CANNON
She is the woman
shot out of a cannon
that never came down
that never came down
it’s very uncommon
but life goes on and
crowds shift about
crowds shift about
tension smacks the atmosphere
a little bit here a little bit there
‘seems not right that she’d disappear’……
