Dear People Who Give A Fuck About My Projects:
My life has been taking lots of unexpected turns with family type things that have been incredibly hard to deal with and stay sane and high functioning. Since I always hope my projects are collaborative in nature I feel like a giant douche not keeping people in the loop. I have gotten emails asking what is happening with these two projects so I wanted to write a formal update for everyone who actually cares. And the… Continue

So I've been inspired to make a zine myself.
It's going to be full of random medical and psychological stuff, it's already done.
I'll get some screenshots up soon.

I have 3 zines *so* close... they are all ready to print, except that I am still waiting to find out what my PO Box address will be, so I can't get them printed until I have that on them.
Ditto flyers. All designed and ready to print, but without address.
I've thought about getting them printed anyway, and adding the address when I get it, but the thought of handwriting them all fills me with horror!
If you want a sneak preview you can look… Continue

The latest zine I've produced is called Dreamy Vs Sucks
and I thought I'd write down how it all came together.
Like all the zines I've made lately this one was created with my good friend Brad (Bernard Boulevard
). The concept for the zine came to us months ago when we were brain storming ideas for our comic zine Chicken With Penis
, and during that time we would occasionally toss around different ideas on what the zine would be like. The only thing we really knew… Continue

Well, I just got back from the 2009 Portland Zine Symposium, and I wanted to give you all some praise. This was the first year I've volunteered for the event, and I was very impressed with the cooperative spirit and overall positive vibe of this year's event. I also wanted to thank everyone who donated a zine to the Olympia Library's collection- you know who you are, and I thank you a hundred million times over. See y'all next year...

I posted this on my blog, but wanted to post it here too. Thanks to all of you for "getting it".
I am tired and need to wind down for tonight, but I wanted to post this while it was fresh in my head.
Driving to Kinkos tonight at 11:30 pm I thought what is it with me that makes me use my precious vacation time to stay home and make a zine? What is it that makes me stay in my house for 48 hours and work by myself on some folded pieces of paper?
I don't know… Continue
