Science Fiction Stories: The Observer (Part II)

Today I am sharing part two of The Observer, my serial science fiction story. Two weeks ago, I introduced Taligunge, the alien observer who comes to Earth, and in this second part, she continues on just that journey.

If you haven't read part one, I highly recommend you check it out right here. And, as always, feel free to let me know what…

Project Projectionism Issue 1

Project Projectionism Issue 1 is almost done! I'm waiting on a rant about unicorns, then it's off to the presses!

I love the weight of the paper with all those little paper scraps taped on, all smelling like ink. Yum.

This weekend I'll be in Brooklyn, and looking for good places to drop. I'm also up for some trading.

So excited.

Continue

A Day in the Life of a Failed Fashion Blogger

Not too long ago when I was working on this blog, before I had all my notions about women of color and feminist identity, I thought that I would make it into a photography blog. Indeed, last year I posted a photo a day for half the days of the year,…

First blog. Comic announcement!

Ahoy, this is my first blog post. I just wanted to say that my first zine, Crime Unlimited Inc. Co. is getting printed tomorrow. The premise is simple: stories of mischief, crime, evil, do-baddery and the typical nonsense. Each issue will be a collaboration between me and my friends or whoever wants to participate. This was quite a challenge for me and I am immensely proud of the final product. Each copy is $2 and I will throw in a free sketch of some kind. I will also trade since that seems to… Continue

CED Round-Up: Bones, Cyborgs and Flowers

This week, I introduced a new artistic medium and harkened back to the old as well. In the post, you'll find examples of my coding efforts, my writing, drawing in two ways, and my severe need to move my hands while watching TV. Enjoy!…

Late night/early morning inspiration

I used to stay up late, tapping away at my computer keyboard or reading a book when I should of turned the lights out hours ago.

Getting older I try to get to bed at a reasonable hour, especially if I am working the next morning. While I could stay up as late as I wanted to (being an adult does have its advantages) I find I have lost my night owl tendancies.

However when I am inspired, that is a whole other story. There have been instances where an idea has struck me…
