Tattooed Memoirs #7
$1/ 24 pages/Quarter size
My intro describes the ridiculous self-censorship that I put myself
through while writing this issue. Thankfully, I was able to work
through it. Issue 7 of Tattooed Memoirs is about my deep love for
tattoos and working in the tattoo industry, but the bitterness I feel
now. It’s a peek into my life while working in…

Musea Reader and WMZ - this week we look at how NPR is becoming THE leader of new music in this country.
You're surprised aren't you? This story is about how they have become a major player in many aspects of contemporary music, AND the possible conflicts of interest connected with how they choose the music they review and promote.

A found stack of this early issue of Ilse Content brings it back to life. Poetic prose of letters, sisterhood, religion, body image, dealing with a friend's abuse, finding ways out of formulas and creating a life that is undeniably your own.

I am back in the USA and have a new address. I also have some new ideas of the artsy-fartsy variety. Hopefully, I can get my studio set up and the, bam, ART!

Everything is on hold. My beloved Dog Penny had to be put down. I'm gutted understandably. I've had her since I was 15 :(
On top of that my uncle has gone into a hospice work is crazy so don't expect me to be around for a while.
Once issue 2 - "Am I Loud Enough" is printed I'll be up for trades.
Take care all

I got back from the University library a little while ago where I did one of my occasional web document printings. One was of Syndicated Zine Reviews Blogspot, 2009 and 2010 so far. I was pleased I was able to do this. In the past, when I'd tried, the print preview always came up blank, which made me assume it wouldn't work, but I realize now you just have to wait a little while for the pages to come up.
2009 was 19 pages (sides not sheets). The library charged 3.6 per… Continue

I can';t believe it's taken me so long, but then I was never very good at layout or anything vaguely to do with maths, shapes and all that kind of thing. But I've finally worked out how to lay out a minizine using Microsoft Publisher. All I did was create a table, with 4 columns and 2 rows, then put text boxes into each cell. Once I'd filled up a cell on the top half of the table (in landscape of course), I rotated the text box.
And that's it! It's so simple. I spent a long… Continue

Spring is here! Intoxicated with the sunshine and flowers, I banged out issue 21 of Telegram Ma'am on two of my favourite typewriters within about a week or so. This issue is fairly different than more recent issues of my zine; there is less focus on mental health (though I do include a short list of things that have been good for my… Continue
