Upcoming Zine Residency and Other Travel Adventures

I'm gonna be in Halifax from July 5th - 18th doing a zine residency at the Roberts Street Social Centre; a list of all the 2010 residents and their projects, including a few friends of mine and other lovely folks, can be found here. I'm nervous, of course, but excited as well. I've been looking forward to this for a long time, and was so surprised when I was accepted for a residency, that I… Continue

Birth of a Zine

Funny how ideas come about. I have become pretty obsessed with the idea of self-publishing and zines for a while now and consequently mulling over what my first venture will be. I came up with making a fold -out poster zine, that would be an easy and compact intro for me.…

Am I Loud Enough?

Issue 2 of 'If Things Don't Alter They'll Stay As They Are' - 'Am I loud Enough?' is Avaiable now for Trades (please!!!) £1 and SAE or trades of other sweet or shiney things.

This issue looks a bit different to me. It's also got more to read in it as it's laid out a bit differently.

Amoung my musings are - thinking about children, my experiences with counselling and a rant about men who touch up women they don't know - saturday night sexism.

Looking to sell/trade zines!

Hi everyone,

I have a whole load of copies of Fallopian Falafel (my fanzine) just lying around collecting dust, and I think it's a real shame.

I would love to trade them with whoever is interested or sell them to whoever would be willing to buy. I prefer trading because I love reading other people's zines. If you could pack my mailbox until it bursts, that would be ideal.

Fallopian Falafel is based in Jerusalem but it targets all audiences around the world who are into the…

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:

I am reading about Picasso's life. The first of two versions of this incident is by our mystery person. That person wrote "On the Rue de Rennes, I often passed the shop of Pere Sauvage. There were Negro statuettes in his window. I was struck by their character, their…

Daft ideas

I've had a bit of a daft idea. You know that it's international zine month, next month? Well, I had the idea of making a minizine (that is, one A4 page folded into 8) for each day. I don't know if I'll manage it, but I'll try to do at least enough for half of the month. If I do any more I'll be so chuffed with my little self!

Of course I'll be up for trades for them at the end of the month, along with my 24 hour zine. In the meantime, Estrones 2 is all done and ready to go!…
