I've been trying and trying and trying to get some form of zine out of my mind and into the copier and I finally did it!
It's about the way I see life and the things that influence me. Music, comics, books, newspaper clippings, and short stories, photography, sketches and whatever the hell I feel like putting in it.
I don't really know how this trading thing works, so feel free to help me out! I'm already working on my second Issue which will come out at the end of the… Continue

Jeff Potter wrote a great and elegant reply post on the social website, We Make Zines, about zines, book publishing, art, and why he, and I and others are advocating for more fairness and changes in the arts and media. I asked if I could reprint it, and he said yes. Here it is uncut. I hope you enjoy… Continue

So, I told Yvonne that I would write a zine completely in Portuguese and I did!
It's called IDGAS - ID, the Freudian term for the crazy, wild side of you and GAS because it's fuel. A mini-zine to fuel your wild side! I think this is a really good tagline!
But really, the title didn't even arise like that. IDGAS stands for I Don't Give A Shit.
Anyone who is interested in the zine, get in touch!
I can always make a translation :)

As the editor of Absent Cause zine, I want to invite my fellow zinesters to join in this important protest and boycott of Arizona's racist, anti-immigrant law SB1070. Please consider adding your name to the list of endorsers and voicing your opposition to the law in the next issue of your zine.

I've just got back into zines after a ridiculous amount of time. I was inspired by Hannah of 'Not Lonely' zine.
Back in the day (when I was a fairly hard core Manics Fan) I used to write a zine with my sister called "Love In A Make-Up Bag" which was a mixture of poetry, music and general rambling.
>My new zine is a perzine entitled 'If Things Don't Alter They'll Stay As They Are". Issue 1 - 'Behing Blue Eyes' is… Continue

I know this is meant to be a blog post, but I can only hope that someone reads it.
I am trying to start another mini-zine (my other mini-zine is a perzine called Army of Her) called Grrrl Power and it's all about female empowerment. I feel that with the everyday bombardment by the media, women are feeling more and more isolated as higher and increasingly impossible standards are expected of them, as well as, not being expected to succeed. Really self-contradictory.
Anyway, I… Continue

I am happy to announce that functionally ill 7 is made. It's about my mental health taking a dive, going back on Abilify, and what radical mental health means to me. I talk in detail about a crisis and about the shame associated with suicidal ideation.
Erik and Laura-Marie Magazine 47 is out too. It includes essays on quitting facebook and the six years I played
bassoon, book and zine reviews, a list of Kitty's recent… Continue

After ten years of messing about with some very dark matter indeed there is a certain irony that a little while ago a US production company approached illustrator Lawrence Elwick and myself, expressing an interest in producing a series of books featuring a character we had been enjoying making up stories for called 'Lil' - a little girl who never speaks but goes off on some very cool adventures.
And to this end we've just started… Continue
