Rock and roll doesn't rock no more.
It's turned middle age and become a bore.
It's everything it used to oppose.
Rock and roll doesn't rock no more.
Rock and roll is corporate and… Continue

As I was getting ready to leave my parents' house last night, my Dad indicated me to stop and I glanced over to where he was sitting on the couch with our lovable cat, Bob. "He likes Ornette Coleman," he said, and at first I didn't know what he meant until he had one of the headphones from his recently-bought IPOD held up to Bob's ear. There he sat, happy as a clam, paws folded underneath his belly, casually listening. Perhaps cats may not be smarter than dogs, but they certainly have better… Continue

I am looking for submissions of articles on the theme of penpalling. Some ideas might be:
- How you got into penpalling
- Things you love (or don't love!) about penpalling
- Meeting penpals, especially if it went particularly well (or badly)
- Any significant friendships/relationships you've developed as a result of penpalling
It could be written as an article, or as a letter to someone (perhaps a letter to a long lost penpal, or to
someone who has… Continue

We've added an actual sequential webcomic book to our daily comic journals.
It'll soon be a comic zine but isn't yet. But...
If you'd like to have a look it starts here: http://buttersword.com/2010/05/16/051610/
It's got some language.
It's got some rotten attitude too.
But it's only the beginning, those things are bound to get much worse.
It's sort of a conversational sitcom meets B movie sci-fi.

I've had the first draft of Pieces #3: On Careers, Jobs and Work done since the beginning of May. However, I've been a little stuck on editing it.
It's a bit of a downer, a zine where I focus on all the low lights of the jobs I've had in my life, especially my last one. It left me quite jaded. But there were a lot of good things about that job too. They should be focused on, brought to light and juxtaposed with the dark smears of bad-time employment.
It makes me want to… Continue

I awoke today to the sound of a drum cadence outside my lonely apartment complex in Vancouver, WA. I literally jumped out of bed and saw and heard to my pleasant surprise a band marching by a block outside my window. There's life in Vancouver after all!!! (Limited time only. Certain restrictions apply).
