Wick - my shortest quatro so far

Wick (my shortest quatro so far)
---------------------
wick
wax
--------------------
What is a QUATRO. It’s a new type of very very short poetry that usually compares two things, in a haiku – way, packing a lot of meaning in a very small amount of words. There is usually a very real comparison, and behind it a 2nd deeper meaning. I see many readers seem to like these – great! Pass your favorites around if you want – Tom Hendricks

He filled his house ....

He filled his house with water pitchers (not another poem – yes another poem)
-------------------
He filled his house with water pitchers
in hutches in every wall.
Lighting struck and started a fire
that engulfed every floor.

But as the shelves began to collapse
the pitchers would tip their spouts.
And the water pouring forth
would put the fires out.

Zines!

Want to send a thank you and a shout out to those who donated to get the  Minibook Exchange going. I had even purchased some books from people to get some stock. I attended Cyphacon last weekend and ALL of the books were taken by interested readers. If I can get to more conventions, then that portion of the Minibook Exchange will certainly be an advertising success for zine and comix makers trying to get the word out.

And my zine library list has gotten quite long. Goodness…

Giving it another go.

I made a zine forever ago, but it didn't really turn out how I wanted it to. So I gave up. I've recently found myself with a lot of extra time and a lot of extra doodles laying around. So I thought, why not compile it into a little book. That's what I did and found that I made something I really enjoyed. This time instead of giving up I'm going to make a second one to fix all the mistakes (or things that I didn't enjoy about it). I know that making zines and the idea of zines is such a huge…

My Zine History:The end of 1983

I got in more trouble than I bargained for in San Frisco.I was sick of stealing food,so I started going to soup kitchens. That was where I met Aaron and Case.I was trying to finish my comic, but had nowhere to draw.SF Skins or worse were wrecking all the squats.Although as a rule I hated peace punks (aka Crassholes),I decided to crash with these two guys in this truck with a boat turned upside down on the back of it to make a camper out of it,on Fulton & 25th.They sold acid for this hippy…

What did Elvis keep in the attic of Graceland? Clue, it's kinda creepy on a stormy night.

THE VARUKERS interview

by michela a.

Nothing's changed. These “angrier older men” are still around and it seems like nothing can grind ‘em down. On stage since '79, THE VARUKERS shaped punk since its birth and gave life to some of the best known (and still alive) UK punk groups, nothing less than Discharge, Doom, Vile...

We had the chance to have a chat with Rat and Stick some months ago in Milan at Arci LO-FI, just before The Varukers’ gig organized by Vampata…

Sayings of Editor Art - the summer rerun

Sayings of Editor Art – summer rerun

Rhode Island, the closet state; because, there is no ‘room’!

That ‘apple of mother’s eye’ is spoiled rotten!

Headline: ‘Blues singer wins lottery but looses livelihood’.

Some acorns fall in the shadow of the oak.

On my life: Could be a little better, could be a lot worse.
