seeking submissions for a zine about living car-less
I am planning on creating a zine tentatively titled: "walking through a car-driven world"
The premise of it is an attempt on my part to reflect on my impending car-less-ness in a state that does not have a reputation of good public transportation (all we have are buses, that are not known for their reliability, in RI), and gain inspiration from other people who go car-less…

Kung Fu Grip! #3B: Super Special Edition
When I was a snot-nosed third grader, I was super envious of one of my classmates who had this folder that he'd decorated with the Marvel Comics Super-Hero stickers. Between 1974 and 1976, the Topps Chewing Gum Company produced a senses-shattering assortment of Marvel hero decals sold…

Time Passes
I found the box containing my zine collection the other day. I spent the rest of the day thumbing through my favorites, sorting them into piles, absorbing their zine-ness... and let me tell you, it was a very good day.
The past few days have been spent reading, looking up distros online, and making lists of what I'll get when I have money again. I've also looked through my old sketch book and jotted down notes and ideas for several new zines.
Which brings me to today. I logged…

hi all,
i am putting together a new compilation zine and would very much like your contributions!
the theme is pathology, inspired both by my job in a hospital and a giant pathology textbook i couldn't resist buying. pathology can refer to the study of disease, viruses and bacteria, cancers and infections--but it can also evoke 'normal' or 'typical' reactions or expressions taken to an extreme ('pathological gambling', etc.).
of course, this definition of…

A Conversation with P.nitas*
http://www.twentyfourhoursonline.com/#!/2012/04/conversation-with-spanish-artist-pnitas.html
P.nitas* is a gutsy feminist artist from Barcelona. Her drawings and paintings are funny and a little off. I interviewed her for Twenty-Four Hours. This is in both English and Spanish. Enjoy!

Portland Button Works and Zine Distro needs your help!
This started as a dream, literally a dream, that slowly invaded our sleeping and waking hours. We’ve been working on this for what seems like months. What started out as cross-continent online chats, turned into coffee filled breakfasts and Google docs full of ideas. Now those ideas are becoming a reality.
Derek Neuland and I have joined forces to create Portland Button Works and zine distro! With a collective 15 years of button making experience, we feel our custom button…

This following is a small review of the new issue of Twilight World:
8-Track Mind #101 $3
(no address given)
Can fragments of the old and obsolete of decades past like the 8-track tape format be seriously considered beyond nostalgia? It’s a basic idea a lot of people can’t get their collective heads around….much less know what 8 track tapes are.
I knew what they were, but until I found 8 Track Mind, I didn’t see much in them either. I’m not much of an audiophile…
