a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Dear Anonymous 2 is on its way and I'm once again looking for letters!
Lessons learned from DA1:
*250 words or less is good (for one page)
*500 words or less is good (for two pages)
So, basically, you're right in the 1 - 500 words range, but shorter is better. BUT, this blog is about expression, and I don't want to force anyone to clamp down on their passion just for me. I'm flexible. :)
As for content, these letters can be confessionals,…Continue

I live in Vancouver BC and I'm new-ish to the zine game. I am here because my hermit impulse is to photocopy a dozen of whatever I got going and then retreat back to the darkness, fondling my toner-smelly pages and giggling with satisfaction while eating a victory dinner of peanut butter toast and getting crumbs all over everything.
But it occurs to me that zines are best shared, not used as coasters, toast-holders, or spider-whackers.
So it would be good to…Continue

Just realized there's a long list of things about to go out of print and/or out of stock and maybe a little 'last chance warning' was in order. There were so many I forewent the descriptions and just provided links, please forgive my haste.

I have only gotten a few stories, and I KNOW there are more out there. Please consider submitting your Greyhound adventure for this zine.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
If you've ever taken a Greyhound bus, chances are you have a story worth telling. For years before I ever set foot on a Greyhound, I'd heard people make jokes about "the kinds of people" who ride the buses. I dismissed their comments as classist snobbery...until the…Continue

My art zine Catharsis has a new issue!! #4 it's finally here! Took me a year to produce this one, all or should I say most of the art in this issue was completed in 2010!
Full color prints, high glossy paper to prevent page bleed, thick card stock covers, these are not cheap, so if you want one, hit me up, also take a look at my photo album Catharsis, I used my camera to give you a good show of the interior and art work.

I know it's very digital, the inside pages will be more traditional. I'm using Photoshop, InDesign, SketchBook Pro, and Windows Journal on a Tablet PC.
Hoping to be done by the end of May/start of June. :)

Thanks to underestimation of work needed, a very slow printer and a decision that hand-stiching won over stapling, it's taken me longer than anticipated to finish my zines. But now I have two done! My mini-zine 'The Perfect Pocket Guinness Guide' and the other (not a mini) called Dear Anonymous.
For the month of April at Black Light Diner distro, shipping is free on all US orders over $20, and all Canada/Mexico orders over $35! Help me downsize in preparation for my upcoming move to…Continue
