Old Zine Shit
I have been trying to avoid writing a blog about memories of Zines from the past, but as i prepare to begin my sentence within the next week(as soon as theres a bed open),I feel compelled to put down something for posterity, and shit.I think 85 was a good year.I was living in a Ford Econoline in Berkeley with my wife,a 17 year old runaway from Boston.University Avenue had a cool coffee shop, that was our bathroom/breakfast spot.Comic Relief was around the corner. That was where i first met D,who…

Chicago Zine Fest
I went to Chicago Zine fest with Simone yesterday, and it was AMAZING. The community there was so friendly and welcoming, and I bought some great zines )Indigo, You've Got a Friend in PA, Hoax, "Life, Death, Love & All of the Above", Mend my Dress, On the Cusp, and a few others. I also got to meet some fantastic people. Thanks to everyone there who willingly engaged in long conversations with that random girl flipping through their zines.

New E.T. Printworks store!
The Enchanted Times has been sitting happily alongside my TangleCrafts stuff for the last couple of years, but it actually now makes up at least half of my stock, so that the TangleCrafts header wasn't really feeling like the most appropriate sales banner for it (although still appropriate to the rest of the stuff). Although I will continue to keep a lesser amount of ET stock in the…

Poem: Relaxed after Reading
Relaxed after reading
I closed my book.
My eyelids follow
and there appeared stairs.
I began to descend
step after step.
The light of my lantern
bounced off the quartz
embedded in the walls.
I blinked my eyes
and a draft of air,
a repeating echo,
swept me away...
across an ocean
and an ocean beyond
across outer space
across time itself ...
There appeared ahead
a high raised place.
I stood on a mountain…

Interview with zinesters
Hi, my name is Gabriel, I'm from France and I'm here in the United States for six months as an international student in San Francisco. I'm currently doing research on zines: I study communication in France and I'm writting a 60 pages thesis about zines and alternative medias in the American underground culture.
I would like to get in contact with zinesters to interview them for my research. If you are or used to be a zinester and are willing to help, get in touch with me! The…

1. Food and Feminism: Collaboration Zine
An entirely collaborative zine that explores the concept of feminism and food preparation. Even though I enjoy food and cooking it feels so fundamentally anti-feminist to be the female in the kitchen and to be choosing these traditional gender roles. Please explore these themes through any medium that inspires you. …

My zine
Hi! I'm new here, so I don't quite know how this all works, but my zine is called Creative Evolution. It's two poems, two longer pieces of writing, one playlist (with a CD included), some photography, collage, line drawing, random nostalgic stuff (like a photo-copied letter I wrote home from sleepaway camp copied into my zine). I'm gonna start working on an Issue 2 soon, and would love any submissions of anything at all!! Photography, WRITING, other art....oh, and if anyone has any…
