The garage has been cleared out and the murals spray painted. It's a lovely day. I've been keeping myself busy with library stuff, and completely forgot about my school obligations! I need to work on my time management skills. With the murals done, all that is left now are the donations and the materials to build the shelves with. The library should be open in a month or two depending on how smoothly everything goes. I might need someone to volunteer during lending hours also, if that is… Continue

I've been so busy lately, I feel like I've fallen off the face of the zine community. I DO NOT LIKE THIS!!
I'm hoping that by spring I'll get it all together and get a little more active, but it's hard to say with classes and work.
ANYWAY! I'm going to be tabling at stumptown. I'm crazy nervous that I'm going to be the only minicomic/zinester there. I know when I went in 2006 there were hella zinesters, but that was three years ago (still bummed that I couldn't go the last… Continue

Yesterday I put up a month long exhibit in the lobby of the University of Washington Graduate Library (Suzzallo/Allen to locals). It was a bit tough aiming it at mostly people that might not know what a zine is as well as trying to add books to the collection about radical and zine cataloging encouraging librarians to collect zines in academic library collections (during March the ACRL conference, as well as the Zine Librarian Unconference, will be taking place in Seattle). It was also hard to… Continue

Check it out:
I included zines by some members of We Make Zines. Make sure to add a comment. The number of views and comments bumps it up. And, of course, purchase something that strikes your fancy.

This year I've embarked on a new project which is going to involve me collaborating as a writer with twelve other artists to produce a new product or performance each month.
The project is called Two Heads and the result of the January collaboration with Ben Platts-Mills is already up to view online at http://www.ecartilage.co.uk/twoheadsjanuary.htm
The work is… Continue

Hey Portland folks,
Wednesday the 4th at 3pm I am having a shelve building/ mural painting get together at my house. This will be an ongoing project until the murals are finished and enough books/zines are donated. Basically I am turning my vacant garage into library. If you have any zines you would like to donate it would be much appreciated. A lot of people have been getting involved. I'm rly excited to see how a space that isn't necessarily community oriented will turn into… Continue

So, Marc and I recorded the very first Nobody Cares About Your Stupid Zine Podcast
yesterday! I did a bit of editing and I still need to do some more. I worry that the amazing theme song that Androo
wrote for us will outshine our podcast. Seriously, the song is amazine (yes, that's right AMAZINE) we played it a dozen times and danced around the dining room!
I hope to… Continue
