I found this at Z.A.P.P. this past weekend in Seattle when I was up there for the
Zine Librarian (un)Conference. I thought my fellow zine enthusiasts would appreciate it too.

More about my trip up to Seattle for the (un)conference can be found
here.
Also, if you haven't listened to our zine podcast called…

I am going to the copy shop soon after writing this post to make copies of Candy Box, my new zine in which I rate twelve varieties of candy (mostly chocolate) that my friend Carolyn sent from the UK. I am planning on pink covers, which is exciting to me. I will post photos soon.
This zine will be of most interest to folks who love candy and/or those who live in the UK or will visit there. I am asking 75 cents for it, but I would REALLY like to trade for it.
This one's…

I have never really have attempted a blog... but I guess this is beginnings...
I would describe myself as pretty boring, and lately I have been trying to spend as little time on the internet as possible. Right now, I am supposed to be starting a
Claes Oldenburg style artist manifesto based on a picture I took (Trust me, as interesting as it sounds its so far from it....); however while going to retrieve said image from my e-mail, I noticed i had a message from this…

I get such a kick out of it when people send me $2 bills for ordering Zine World. I just can't bring myself to spend them on banalities like postage. I've traded out a couple for $1 bills (from my non-zine funds). I usually keep one in my wallet, just for emergency cash. (And it has to be a really tight emergency before I will spend it.) I've put one or two into my son's 'special money' piggy bank. Occasionally I'll use one for ordering another zine. Feels right to spend it that way.

i'm thinking of doing an episode all about what it means when we say "the zine community." and do you actually FEEL PART of this so called "zine community?" DO you feel alienated? Do you feel it is to politically correct? do you feel like there are cliques? do you feel accepted and free to write about any ol' thing you want or do you worry about people calling your work offensive or not politcally correct? do you feel like the 'zine community' is your home? why? I WANNA HEAR YOUR STORIES,…

i just laid out the first 6 pages of All Things Ordinary #1. This is a big night for me because this will be my first zine since March of 2004. This is also my first quarter sized zine. Thus far, i have done 2 full sized, one half legal size, and one half size zine (in that order). I doubt i will ever make another full sized zine, but i really liked the half size and half legal size formats.
The big excitement for me with quarter sized is it…

This review originally appeared on the Feminist Review blog.
The Chainbreaker Bike Book
by Shelley Lynn Jackson and Ethan Clark
Microcosm Publishing
This “rough guide to bicycle maintenance” is really two books in one.
The first half is a bike repair manual, with which the authors strive to “serve many people, from the very beginner to a decent mechanic who just likes to geek out...” I found the how-to instructions accessible, written in a way that is…

I am excited to finally have made one. After reading lots and lots of zines, I had decided (long ago) that I wanted to make one...But I never did. I don't know where the inspiration came from, but I finally started it while at work on the train the other day. For some reason it took making neat-o layouts for the text to get me to actually do the writing. For some odd reason I couldn't "prepare" what I wanted to write about. Thats why my zine is sort of a mix of completely random and unrelated…

The new issue of Mixtape has hit my letterbox and excited me just a little too much. I've stuck it up on my Online Store for all you shoppers out there..........
"This is a beautifully crafted zine. Since its humble beginnings, Mixtape has grown from strength to strength. What began as an exciting project between two crafty females from Melbourne has become a very professionally printed, full colour zine that is still all about DIY and a strong love of art.
Issue 8…
