Hello cyberpsace! We meet again!
Last week was a blur of emails, ink, paper and paper cuts. And it looks like that is how this week will look like but with added snow storms and a strong fear of power outages.
I've been working diligently on the zine, having to edit things here and there due to space some of those articles I wrote were loooonnng.
Not to mention my forth coming manga Kisu Kisu I've been working on for like EVER.
Oh. I didn't…Continue

A lot of anime/manga/etc Japanese pop culture fans (but especially anime/manga fans) call themselves otaku. Generally, it is assumed "otaku" means something like "nerd" or "geek", or to describe someone with much knowledge in a specific field. While those are part of the otaku definition, that's not all it means, and it's probably not the best idea to visit Japan proudly calling oneself an…Continue
Lolita is a fashion that originated in Japan, specifically in the Harajuku area of Tokyo, which is often heavily populated by teenagers of all styles on the weekends. Lolita is often cited as being influenced by the Victorian and Rococo eras, however, it is a modernised, very loose take on either period. It was first recognised as a subculture in the late 1980s, and has evolved much since then. It is…Continue

I am hungry, wishing I had some money to order some food, and got to thinking about Happy's Pizza.
If you've never heard of them, they originated in Detroit and serve pizza…Continue

I was talking to an indie comic publisher who is on his 2nd of a 5 part comic, and he was saying that zinesters don't charge for their zines. There is a zine fair coming up interstate that I am sending down my first zine for, and I plan on charging $1 for. He asks me why don't I just give them away? I'm totally unknown in the zine world in my city, and have no idea what to do.
It's so difficult to find others who know what a zine is...its even more difficult to find people interested in reading one...which means I can barely find anyone to contribute or help me with my first zine.
While I've been waiting to be approved to this group, I've been reading through all the groups I'd like to join and all the discussions in the forums. And while I can't say that my work fits neatly into the zine genre, I am extremely glad to be here amongst people who know what…Continue
Dead Kennedys were a hardcore punk rock band born from San Francisco, California. The underground band also known as simply DK made news world wide for nearly a decade.
During the 1980s the band gained a large underground following in the international punk music scene. Their music mixed the more…Continue

So I've been a bad girl on this site. Seriously I haven't been on here since early October and that is just sad.
To the many people who were waiting friend requests and pen pal-dom and trades, well fear not, I am working through them all! And what of the zine HOLES?
Simply put the usual Zine fair of IN PROGRESS. Nearly completed just gotta get the rest of the submissions in the issue to be complete and few more layouts.
Having my printer break wasn't exactly helpful…Continue
