a place for zinesters - writers and readers
Hampshire College Zine Collection
Hello!
I work in the library at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. A few years back, some students had started a zine collective on campus & were able to start a zine collection in the library here, but as is often the nature of student groups, as those initial students graduated, the group sort of disappeared & the collection has sat a bit neglected. So anyway, I'm trying to revamp it…

SMOG CITY DIGEST is now available for trade or purchase.
This is a cute lil' 5X7 zine containing Chapters 1 and 2 of "The Night Snacker" (reprinted from Smog City #1 and #2) and a short story outtake from the soon-to-be released Smog City #3.
SMOG CITY DIGEST is a supplement intended to bring new readers up-to-date with past installments of ongoing serial stories like "The Night Snacker", and a place where I can put outtakes and rejects from our flagship publication.
Also, I don't usually trade Smog City…

Zines in Video!
A few years back I gave my friend Jackie a copy of my first zine, I Am Not The Rain, which I put together with my friend Amber. It’s a zine about a lot of things, mostly about life after experiencing childhood sexual abuse. Jackie was quite excellently awesome and asked Amber and I if she could turn it into a video story. The video also turned out to be quite excellently awesome. I have wanted to get it…

quick "about me" thingy
nearly all of my art is about animals, and my zines are no exception. i like making a variety of work, in different styles and formats (zines, calendars, temporary tattoos, coloring books, etc) but always with the mindset of finding approachable and positive ways to express the things that i think are important.
i love feminism, animals, children's books, comics, poetry, and activity books!

New Comic Zine -Theodore Knuckle
I finally finished my first comic zine, about a lonely midnight DJ called Theodore Knuckle. Every night he sits in his tiny studio, playing music and ministering to his listeners: a motley bunch of insane outcasts. In…

Well Then
So many blogs to write, so little time!
Anyway, I am working on my first zine in over 10 years...yikes. I feel like I almost forgot how to do it. I am having fun learning though. I know it will be an amazing experience once I get things rolling.
Anyway, happy winter :)

Musea Art Contest for the Week - test your art smarts
The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:
This year's annual Musea Christmas story, 'Senlin', about the world's greatest dancer, had a major plot point connected to this passage,
"COME TO THE WINDOW! Follow me. Do as you're told!" Then he (Paulo) laughed. She (Senlin) followed. Looking out the open window, down below was a milling crowd. They did NOT cheer. Senlin thought that odd! Then one young man in the center , turned on some music, and began to…

What a day for a nothing event.

I <3 Zines
I love zines and have been making them for years, however, I have always published them anonymously, afraid of my own voice. This is my attempt at standing up and shouting "My name is Jen and i have something to say!" :)
I have just finished writing a perzine on body shame and it is currently being illustrated by the wonderful Sam Gold. Hopefully it will be printed in time for me to take it to the Melbourne Zine Fair next month for trading!
I am always looking to meet…
