2011 Portland Zine Symposium Art Call!
The Portland Zine Symposium is looking for art submissions for the 2011 poster. This year’s theme is “Postmarked 2011.” Your art submission should be your creative interpretation of that theme.
The guidelines are simple – We are looking for a 11″ wide x 17″ tall poster that will also be used in other formats (the web, post cards, buttons, stickers, etc), so your design needs to be visible and striking at multiple sizes and resolutions (or have smaller, breakaway pieces). The design…

Cyberpunk Apocalypse visiting writer program
I live at the Cyberpunk Apocalypse writers' collective in Pittsburgh PA. For over a year now, we've offered month-long writing residencies. We've had writers from all over the continent just about every month staying in our guest room while concentrating on their own writing projects.
If you are a writer and need a month to get away and concentrate on a specific project, this residency might be for you. Check out cyberpunkapocalypse.com for more information on the residency…

falling behind
too many places to post too many things when i really don't feel like typing and would much rather just watch new music videos on youtube.
i will be teaching a mini-zine workshop at the creative space here in barrie. randomly i was talked into this by my newest artist friend jill. i am horrified that i agreed (since i am not a good teacher) and excited at the prospect of brining zines back to barrie (or at least getting a handful of people interested in small press).
i…

Now on the Facebook
After continual prodding from distro friends, we broke down and did it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ms-Valerie-Park-Distro/129344460466581
We just started it a few minutes ago, so nobody likes it or friends or whatever happens on the Book, so hey, maybe you could go and check it out and click a button?
And, as you may be able to tell, we don't otherwise use Facebook and have little idea about…

This Saturday Night Distro/ Zine Recommendations
The Distro:
Well the past few months have gone by sooo fast. I've been trying to expand the distro, and at the end of December it was time for me to renew the domain thissaturdaynight.net, so I paid the $12 dollar fee, but the site wouldn't show up, so I called the hosting company and they said that "They had no record" of me owning that domain. Seriously? I tried explaining to them that it belonged to me, and it ha for more than 2 years, but they didn't get it. So now my domain…

Possibly D&D Zine
Im thinking of making a series of zines about the tabletop games Iv played, kinda comics about the storylines plus character sketches, all the technical information and charts, ect.
Im not sure about what to call it though. "Tabletop Adventures" seems too bland....anyone have any ideas for a name?
Also, would this idea be of interest to anyone? Does anyone here even play any tabletop games?

Introducing By the Skin of My Teeth
I am new to We Make Zines and I'd like to introduce you to my zine By the Skin of My Teeth. I have been creating zines now for just over six months and I am totally addicted, both to reading zines and creating them. My zines are perzines and this series started off as only about my experience with mental health issues but now is starting to be so much more, though that is still present of course.
My zines are half size (A5) and although they didn't start…
