yay---today I put the finishing touches on VISCERA issue 3.
I'm happy with the way my series of zines are progressing but still seeing ways I could make them better.
I've already been working ideas for issue 4....

I should really improve on my french, and my blogging skillz.
Alas, I'm sitting in the telly room on a saturday night bored out of my mind, while my sister is engrossed in a film about the Jacksons (starring the worst look-alikes I have ever come across) on 'True Movies'. I think we might go to the cinema later, though I don't know what we will see. I saw Valkyrie on Wednesday, and I didn't rate it. The story is fascinating, but seriously, Tom Cruise? The way it was organised was also…

this one’s about sobriety & betrayal, singlehood, the bizarre ways that ACT-UP inadvertantly trickled into my suburban childhood, tough girls, wacky stories, inspiration & a whole lot more. here is the first page of the intro, as a teaser:

t’s going to be $1, or two stamps, or a trade, via the USPS. i love trades! zines, mix tapes, smiling vegetables, candy,…

i have been editing down recent writings in hopes that i can build a new zine
i'm not sure if i will get a new issue of 'she was ready for anything' pulled together anytime soon, or if i should just get cracking on volume 3 of 'misery is my muse' which is written and in my brain, but not yet in action or published.
someone should tell me to just shut up and make a zine already.

I thought this would be a good place to keep a list of my freshly-started but swiftly-growing zine collection! :D

Calling all Far Northern zine-sters and artists, this March Upholstery will be having their first show for 2009, called Gutter Trash! This is a show about Zine culture, street press and random self publish ramblings.
Cairns (Australia) has had a recent spate of self-published offerings, so Upholstery thought they would bring em all together and showcase the best, the worst and the randoms!
No Upholstery are not reviving their last zine A5, but will be launching a new…

Now that Obama is safely buckled into the White House this is a good time to relax and write that essay you have been meaning to write for We'll Never Have Paris. Don't know what to write? Think of it as an email to a friend you are never going to send. Something real and not fictional, something personal but universal. something 1,000 words or less.
OR send me Facebook status messages, tiny bubbles of prolonged failure.
thanks. contact me with questions, send submissions…

Hi,
I won;t be posting much because I'm not a fan of too much computer time, but I like this idea and Krissy rules.
Sandstone #25 will be copied up shortly. It records Tracy and my trips to Utah, New Mexico, eastern Oregon, and the 2008 Portland Zine Symposium. This is the only zine I've done that is all positive, almost no politics. I'm curious to hear any reactions because I've never done just a travel story before. Includes multiple pages of zine reviews, photos from Mesa…

if you have a place to post that somewhere, that would be incredible.
Thanks,

There are actually 4 of them I think but I'm just going to post these two.
I need a shower... I have been working on SSR for about 3 days now and every time I look for a Sharpie it seems that I have put my hair up with it. I have been wearing the same pajama style clothes: long johns, a thread bare velour leopard print skirt, a 2008 Portland zine symposium shirt and the same sweatshirt I have worn everyday for the past week. I am a model of class!
Still, I'm getting things…

Chicken-Head Records Zine is published Quarterly. We published 2000 copies from 2000 to 2008, now due to increasing overhead we're down to a 1000. We lovingly fold and staple each one of these babies, and then drop them off at the ever diminishing record store as well as ship a few here and there. I guess people read them, who would have known! Currently archiving back issues, keep checking back for details.

The latest cover done by Dexter Cockburn himself! Thank-you, Dex! Now to get #5 rolling! It will be out on March 12th and will feature some art by various alternative/xxx rated artists. It will also have an exclusive interview with Angus of Hatchetface and the Vipers and some special guest poets and stories of shit with my pal Lula May Firebush. There is also an ass contest where you send in a pic of your ass to buttragmag13@gmail.com and you win a BRM t-shirt! Deadline for that…
