Well, the fact that this person typed an all caps subject line about BELLYBUTTONS to get our attention, and then started another thread saying I NEED YR HELP!, about the same topic, instead of typing a subject that is actually about his library - ...

Ahahaha. I almost choked on my slushie. Hey, I would donate, but I don't get why you posted two separate threads. It's too much! One thread would suffice.

UP THE KIDS ZINE

my zine is mostly short fiction, though I imagine its theme changing slightly issue to issue based on my mood, but will most likely always center around nice short stories.

They are on sale at newsbeat on j and 20th in downtown sacramento, for 3 dollars this issue because I hand sew(ed, en??) a cloth case for them all and it was sort of labor intensive since I am not skilled at that. I would be happy to sell them for a dollar or trade of something personal :)

I welcome ANY contributions of short stories or drawings...though the only art submission i got was a MS paint picture of a devil....and it made me sort of uncomfortable all in all, so anything else, please, I would love to see it.

Also would like to collaborate with any other zinesters in sacramento or elsewhere

andy!

lines of communication in regards to organizing events

if you are organizing events, you should alot time to reply with care to requests and queries. If several people are having the same problem and don't receive responses and also need information...maybe you should organize somehting simpler that allows you time to be courteous enough to not leave people hanging on multiple occassions.

I got your nice note in the mail and wanted to write back, but the return address is incomplete, so I don't think it would get through. So let me say here that you're very welcome for the zines I sent to your library, and I wish the collection all success! I have been there and read your zine and others (Joe Biel's zine about getting a vasectomy stands out)--I love that it's there, and I will try to remember to keep donating my zines as I make them. I have a paper bag about a third full of other people's zines--do you think I should try donating those? I don't want to overwhelm the librarians. It's about forty or fifty zines.

Hi, I have a question. Is it possible to donate zines to the zine library in person? If so, where do I go/who do I talk to? I live in Sacramento and visit Central just about once every weekend.

Thanks for sending the address to which I can send my zine donations to the Sacramento Public Library. I will try to get an assortment of my zines out to you soon.

Will the zines in the zine library circulate or will they be available for in-house reading only?

I'm pretty excited to have my zines in a public library. I may actually make a trip to Sacramento in the fall or winter of this year. It would be super cool to visit the library there and see my zines.

I'd be happy to send some zines to Sacramento Library. But why not just post the address on the original message? Is your library in Zine World's resource guide? If not, I'm sure it'd be helpful to have it there for a lot of zinesters.---James
