Hi guys! Right now I'm writing a fantasy zine that will be a serial. I'm really excited about it! But I've been looking around at zines and I haven't really found very many purely fiction ones. Do they exist? lol

That's exactly what I just wanted to say, well put. Personally, based on what I'm reading here (not just the excerpt but the philosophy behind it that I assume will inform the compiling) this zine does not sound like my cup of tea at all. But tha...

hi! so i read that you also write literary zines (well you sais perzine and literary zine hi-bred,actually), but anyways... i was just wondering if you would want to take part in a collaboration literary zine. it's still just an idea, but if people would want to participate, then it should be fun... there is a discussion on main, if you're interested and would like to get more info. also, it is further explained on my site: < http://wagmahiya.wordpress.com/collaboration/ >

Wow, the zines made it there fast! They told me Surface Mail would take 6 weeks, but I'm sure it's only been 2 or so. I usually ship Air Mail, but when it comes to sending packages that size to Australia, it winds up costing fifty bucks or so. Crazy! (I'll message you in a moment.)

About me:

Hello, my name is Candace. I made a zine called 'giantess' from 2002 - 2008 (it was a perzine/literary zine hi-bred). I've been a bit bad at sending things to overseas distros these days - at the moment Sweet Candy and Marching Stars distros still have copies.
The only giantess back issues still available are: #5, #7 & #10. I don't usually do trades so please drop me a message first.

I also make a few free and anonymous zines that I mainly distribute in australia, and have made a number of one shots of various names.

I do a few other zine related things:
I volunteer at Sticky Institute in Melbourne.
I'm also aiming to put together a queer Australian compilation zine, see blog post below.

goings on

Work on the Aussie queer zine goes well - I've already got a few people on board who I know will create something awesome for it - if you're interested: runwaykite(at)gmail(dot)com

It's funny when you're focused on something, you are clued into similar happenings on. I read MCV the other day, which I never really read, and saw a call-out for an aussie queer anthology called 'banQuet'. Aside from the unfortunate name, it could be promising. It's a bit different to what I'm looking to create, as… Continue

Call out - GLBTIQQ zine, stories of growing up queer in Australia.

Based on the fact that there is such a small number of aussie queer zines (please email me if you write one on the chance I've missed it), I'm keeping this fairly broad. Basically, I'd like to put together an Australian colaborative queer zine (only Australian-based in content) and I would like personal articles and essays and possibly to a lesser extent, art. I am willing to consider a broad spectrum of things to gauge w… Continue
