Yo...Sup!

Hi, my name is raequel...and i do zines. i was a longtime reader and i really wanted to write/make zines since the mid 90's when i learned about them through Sassy and the long dead but not forgotten Factsheet Five.

i FINALLY did something about making a zine in 2003 when i started Childlike Empress, i did two issues of that before life happened and i got distracted by podcasting, i did the Triscast in 2005 as well i started a very short lived zine podcast called ZineVox.

i also did a zine featuring my original writing called the SysTris Reader, and a zine about being/doing podcasting before it got mainstream called SysTris Does the Podosphere.

i've been reviewed in different issues of Xerography Debt, and in the Nth Degree magazine (it's a geek fanzine if you care). also, stuff i've written was featured in two issues of Dig This Real, and i was among the spinster-viewees (spinster+interviewee) for White Blackbirds, a zine by a good friend of mine Katie from La La Theory.

i am so grateful this community is here because its totally cool that so many zinesters rockin it out around here, like a 24/7 zine fest in cyberspace...
