I really had no idea, and I've read a lot of Keraucs books, actually when I think about it, in Dharma Bums, he says 'dogs naturally love me' as he refers to his sisters dog, keeping him company as he meditates in her backyard...but I didnt know that Luciens dog ate Kerouacs manuscript...good trivia!!

I think your project is important, and I'll send over some prosey poetry, and some photographs too on the subject of freedom.

Kerouac loved Cats and ran over dogs with his car (according to Hunter S. Thompson) Cat lover, Maybe your magazine should be called Kerouac's Cat Magazine, it would be more fitting....
