So, come out and meet Rio Safari and James Williams, two awesome guys who will show-and-tell about their awesomest dinosaur mini-comics, plus a sweet cartoon. hello from Multnomah County Library in Portland, Oregon! we are super excited to have a circulating zine collection available at nine of our libary locations. the zine collection at our library was spear-headed by the Zine Library Group — an assortment of library staff who work with people of all ages and backgrounds in different parts of the library. the thing that brings us together is that we all love zines! and here's why we love zines: they present unique information and points of view; local zines preserve details of our regional history and culture; and zinesters (people who write, edit, and produce zines) are part of the vibrant literary and artistic life of Multnomah County. you can find out more on our website. or check out our Flickr page. if you live in Portland, stop by and check out some zines (and be sure to see if we have any cool events planned too!)! if you are coming to the great Pacific Northwest for a visit, let us know and we can give you a tour!
