new to everything

new to everything is a tiny little 'zine that fits into your back pocket. i started writing it in 2003 and there's 7 issues so far. i usually write one once a year, but sometimes more. it's a personal 'zine with different true stories that happen to me.

issue number one was printed in april of 2003 while attending college and working at a library. it had some stories about irony, growing up in the park, my relationship with my dad, junkyard stories, grocery-store customer stories, and others. out of print, to the max!!!

number two was printed in april of 2004. stories about moving to pittsburgh, visiting baltimore, my bicycle history, photographs and stories behind them, etc. out of print!

number three was printed in november of 2004. 36 pages. it had some comics, travel stories from over the summer, a story about my childhood home, etc. it's all gone!

number four was printed in june of 2005. 32 pages. this one had a nice silkscreened cover, unlike the paper covers on the last issues. it has stories about my year long quest for vegan soft servce, a story about the midwest, my consistant youth and nirvana, a story about stenciling, and some others. out of print!

number five was printed in september 2006. 44 pages, cardstock covers. stories about thin walls and the neighbors, the rankin steel mill, loving/hating pittsburgh, elephant graveyards in illinois, comics, circles and staying behind, and more. out of print!

number six was printed in september 2007. 24 pages. stories about ghosts, drunken dodgeball, the postal stamp epidemic, pop punk hiatus, a short bicycle trip i went on, plus more. lots of copies are available!

number seven was printed in july, 2008 and has some stories about my mom and her boat, aliens, my neighborhood in pittsburgh, setting up an art show, and a short/sappy history of a friendship. lots of copies are available!

number eight is in the works. i'm hoping to have it out sometime in spring, 2009. it's going to be about 50 or 100 different pittsburgh streets and stories that have happened on each one.

i make this 'zine to share my stories with people and for documentation. it doesn't cost money, as i'd rather trade for something more interesting (yr 'zine, a mix tape, artwork, a letter?) if you are interested, please write to me and i'll get one out to you!
