Hello Ksenia, sorry for replying so late! There is a problem on my page and I cannot send messages.
Have a nice new year anyway!
We would love to come to Russia, but maybe on another tour, maybe next year?
If you want to send some zines for the tour, there is a form to fill, and you can find it here: http://www.zinesofthezone.net/add-your-book
You can also find the other information. We try to post every zine and book on our tumblr (http://zinesofthezone.tumblr.com) but we are very late in our updates, as we were only two people working on the project the last months. Deadline is approaching, it is january 15th, to send the zines. Let me know! That would be great. We have very few zines coming from Russia!
Best from France, Julie
I came across your photozines and they are great! I am part of a project called ZINES OF THE ZONE, it is a mobile library focused on self-published photozines and photobooks, and we are going to travel across Europe from january to june. Unfortunately, we don't go to Russia. Anyway, we published an open call for independant publishers to send us a copy of their zines, because we are organizing events in each of the 50 cities of the tour, in order to give some visibility to small zines, and zines published in few copies. We make zine exhibitions, talks, DJ sets, and so on. Let me know if you would be interested in sending a copy of your zines, so that we could present them across Europe. Best from France,
Don't you apologize for your English! You are remarkable that you can speak it. We don't learn other languages here! Not at least when I went through schooling. I wish I could write you and speak to you in your own language.
You don't have to subscribe to Wiseblood. I'll just send them to you every once in a while. I'll definitely send you any new ones that come out.
You were in Seattle?! I hope the people were real good to ya. I'm a southern boy and love the south. I find Yankees a bit overbearing. I don't know what you could compare it to in your country. I know nothing about your country to my shame. Feel free to tell me stories about where you live.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your zine. From the pictures on your site I notice that a lot are from America. But you do have a page of what looks like family. Are they? Do you know their stories? I have a million questions for you but i'll put them in a letter to you the next time I post you something.
I'm slow and a bit thick so if it takes some time to get you some post don't think badly of me.
I send you love from America . . . you all be good to each other over there.
Hey! I'm sending Wiseblood on . . . and a donation. I'm curious if an American check can get cashed over there! I grew up in the Reagan era! We used to call you Rooskies! You all were known for censorship and the gulag! Are we all friends now? ha ha!
