kristism replied to Billy Da Bunny's discussion Fave zines of all time?
"The first zine I got my hands on was called "Brennende Fenster", which means "Burning Windows". It was a punk/hardcore fanzine from my home town. This was around 1991. This zine actually made me publish my own zine called…"

Profile Information

My name is...

Christian and I'm from Germany. I have been publising zines since 1992, all of them in german language. From 2001 to 2009 I resides in Berlin and since 2002 I'm involved in the archive of youth cultures. There I took care of the large zine collection. We have more than 20.000 publications ranging from Science Fiction to Perzines. Since 2009 I live in Leipzig, but am still involved with the archive of youth cultures. In 2011 I founded my own company called zeitläufer - an exhibition agency. I regularly write about zine culture, give lectures and so on. You can simply call me a zine nerd... Currently I am working on my p.h.d. dissertation about the international history of zines. Anyway... I'm very interested in international networking. So, whether you want to donate your zines for the archive of youth cultures (sorry, but we can't pay for them!), you like to discuss about zine culture in general or you just want to get to know me, drop me a line... I have to admit I haven't been here for quite some years. I kind of needed a break from zine culture. But here I am back again and still excited what's going on in the world of zines.
