the Kazoo! collective, which has hosted over 50 shows in Guelph over the past couple years, conceived of the kazine last year as a way to share and engage other artistic, social & political endeavours that were already taking place in our city. members of the Kazoo! collective have been actively involved in Burnt Oak records, the Guelph Speaks community anthology, & several other projects. We put on a festival in Guelph last year and are following it up with a second festival this year.
now our on our sixth issue, the kazine is still resolutely in favour of the occasional spelling mistake and terribly structured sentence; we are, however, getting a bit more adept with adobe. which scares us. issue seven is going to be all about paper, glue & scissors: back-to-basics.
we like to silkscreen, we like creatures, we like pithy, & we thrive on the creativity of our friends, both local and those from other artistic communities in southern ontario.
