Still interested, Royal Festival Hall sounds a good venue. Also downstairs in the Barbican is a lot of empty space or there are pubs with meeting rooms. Monthly is a good interval.

E Nesbit was from the area I grew up in, and 5 children and It is set in my hometown (Rochester, Kent) and all her other books are set in places that were familiar to me as a kid, which gave them that bit of extra edge when i was little
