a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I released my first issue of jack unsane, a chapbook, in 2002. A few years later I politicized it up and released a zine of essays, and a few years after that, created a zine collage to bring me down from a panic attack and displayed it in a group show for Women's History Month. I moved to a whole 'nother city because of a zinefest; learned immeasurable amounts about race, feminism, gender variance, activism, and good great awesome music from zines; made so many wonderful friends because of zines; I climbed out of epic sadness to real joy white making a zine. Zines have changed my life!
