Two new zines available:
50:50 Zine #2 - 50 ways to be happy, 50 ways to be sad. Single double-sided A4 sheet.

Change the World in 7 Days - 16 page A6 zine, with a 'change the world' task for every day of the week.

Zines mentioned below also all available.

All can be bought from rebelgrrlzine.co.uk, or contact me if you are interested in trading.

You can check out my current zines at rebelgrrlzine.co.uk. You can watch a video about the three zines below here. I have 3 zines available at the moment: You can see details and / or buy with paypal at rebelgrrlzine.co.uk or contact me on here if you are interested in trading, or just send trades (for similar) to me at
Pippa
PO Box 4663

United Kingdom.

Basically, the three zines are:
Rebel Grrl Zine: The Survive Issue
This is a feminist zine aimed at survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence. It is mainly aimed at women and girls, and is a 24 page A5 size zine, photocopied.

How to Write a Zine or THE ART OF PROCRASTINATION
This is ostensibly about the process of creating a zine, but is really all about procrastination - its joys and frustrations, and contains various procrastination tools and ideas within :)
This was written for the 24 hour zine project. It is a 24 page A6 zine, photocopied.

50:50 Zine #1
Double sided A4 page, 50 things I love on one side, 50 things I hate on the other. Simple as!

Also, let me know if you fancy trading some flyers to send out with your zines :)

I'm afraid so! All the sentences have been compiled now and laid out. Damn!

+ she had 0 experience. She was govenor of Alaska, which has very few people. Plus she spoke at an Alaskan Independence meeting. LOL. Yeah. Me too. Else I might have moved to Canada. No, I wouldn't have. I love SEattle too much...

well, she didn't even know what the VP did. SHe thought they were the HEAD of the Senate.
on Monday
She doesn't even know what a VP does. She doesn't know ANYTHING about the government. She bungled a ton of interviews. She doesn't even know what newspaper she reads, if she reads any. Oh. And she quit as Gov. I mean, seriously?
on Monday
: D well, her book is called 'Going Rogue, an American Life', but apparently it's mostly whining about how she was mistreated. Yeah. As if. My main problem is all the people that LIKE her.

hear hear! And I'm only prejuduced against a certain variety of my fellow countrymen. *cough*Palin*cough*. No. wait. I'm not going there. Anyway.

On a different note, I think spending our way out of global recession is a bad idea. It reinforces the capitalist bollocks that caused it in the first place, with people spending money they don't have, including the environmental and social damage...
on Sunday
Sorry. You're just making me feel like the ignorant American here and it's really annoying. (Yes, many Americans ARE bozos, but like I said, I'm not going there.)
on Sunday
sorry. I'm just said recession as in "i've been hearing a ton of stuff about how we should go bail out the auto industry and how we should all go spend lots of money to make things work again". I don't know if you get hte same stuff.
on Sunday
No duh. I, strangely, might have known that. Hmm. How? Oh, right! I know! It's in the newspaper! gee golly wilikers!
on Sunday
LOL! Point made?!
on Sunday
I don't care what size they are, as long as they are good :)
on Sunday
maybe this is my freaky American recession living perspective... but free post would screw up a lot of stuff. (auctually sometimes I lean socialist, but shh! I might get burned at the stake.)
on Sunday
I'd vote for that!
on Sunday
I always intend to write to people whose zines I have just read, but don't always manage it. Also, numerous times I've written a fab letter then looked through the zine to find there was no postal address!

I totally understand about being too late to contribute to your zine. I meant to get to it, but other things took up my time. Yes, please do let me know if there is a sequel.

Right, that probably means I forgot to send it out - our postal service may not be great, but it's not that bad, haha! I do apologise for that, I'll get it done this afternoon. :)

By the way, where did you get your fancy headed paper and pink business-type card done? it's very impressive. :)

I'm Not Like Other Girls

I'm looking for submissions for a one-off zine called I'm Not Like Other Girls.

What I want women and girls to do is to complete the sentence,
"I'm not like other girls because..."

I will make a zine of the responses.

The sentence will appear randomly placed, with all credits at the end, so your sentence and your credit aren't linked. This may help you to be more open, and the zine will flow much better too.

They may be categorised by theme, but that will depend on the submissions.

Zinery

Quite a fun zine day. Change the World in 7 days, and 50:50 #2 went to the copy shop, along with the Art of Procrastination and 50:50 #1 which are being reprinted! This makes me ridiculously happy, although only 40 were printed in the first place. I never ever imagined that 40 different people might want to read them. (I know, in the big scheme of things, 40 is really really small, but this is all new to me!).

I wanted to pick them up tomorrow, but I use the Uni copy shop, and forgot that it wa… Continue
