This is a feminist zine aimed at survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence. It is mainly aimed at women and girls, and is a 24 page A5 size zine, photocopied.
How to Write a Zine or THE ART OF PROCRASTINATION
This is ostensibly about the process of creating a zine, but is really all about procrastination - its joys and frustrations, and contains various procrastination tools and ideas within :)

Thank you Nadia! I've just read through all the submissions again, and can not only confirm that not a single person said 'because I don't wear make-up' but also that it is full of creative and moving ends to the sentence, I'm not like other girls...
How would you guys finish the sentence? I had to really think about how I'm different from most other girls, not how I'm different from the stereotype of a perfect girl. I think you're underestimating incurable hippie and the zine community in you...

Not necessarily. Some people's submissions clearly do think they mean 'better', but others really do mean different. And some are very self-effacing.
And yeah, I was trying to be a bit tactful, but even if that particular submission had been with...

I tend to just use normal envelopes of the right size. If I'm sending a lot of zines to one person I might use a re-used padded envelope. I normally decorate the envelopes with rubber stamps.
That's a really interesting point. I'm not using Amy's comment because it was past the deadline, and the majority of the contributions weren't so dismissive of other women.

Okay...I don't really know how I feel about this. I get that it's kind of a bummer sometimes to be a lady who doesn't meet certain gendered expectations (not dressing the "right" way, not having the "right" kind of cultural tastes), but framing it...

Mine have all been very themed. I'm thinking of trying a perzine which won't be, but up to now they're very specific.
I don't know if it's too late. If it's not, then I'm not like other girls because I auctually care about things that don't involve me.

I'm looking for submissions for a one-off zine called I'm Not Like Other Girls.
What I want women and girls to do is to complete the sentence,
"I'm not like other girls because..."
I will make a zine of the responses.
The sentence will appear randomly placed, with all credits at the end, so your sentence and your credit aren't linked. This may help you to be more open, and the zine will flow much better too.
They may be categorised by theme, but that will depend on the submissions.

Quite a fun zine day. Change the World in 7 days, and 50:50 #2 went to the copy shop, along with the Art of Procrastination and 50:50 #1 which are being reprinted! This makes me ridiculously happy, although only 40 were printed in the first place. I never ever imagined that 40 different people might want to read them. (I know, in the big scheme of things, 40 is really really small, but this is all new to me!).
