a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I've been making zines since 2010, but I've been reading them since I was 12. I live just outside of Washington, DC, in Northern Virginia, and I hear DC has a lucrative zine scene that I've been too shy to dip my feet into... Otherwise, I'm fairly active online pursuing & buying, trading & selling, and making zines!
You can find a listing of my zines & their availability at busyweekends.com/zines.
I make perzines, lit zines, creative zines, and others... always looking for zinspiration and always trying new things! I'm usually up for trades, there may be some I'm not trading at the moment due to low stock, but hope you'll get in touch anyway if you're interested.
I'm in my lower 30s and this decade I'm documenting in words (and sometimes in photos but mostly in words). I didn't intentionally put my 20s into photography (and my teens into visual art) but that's just kind of the way it turned out. This is the first time I'm intentionally writing personal stories towards future zine-making. Most of my zines are born from a concrete idea: to talk about something specifically, and then printed quickly.
