Here's the thing: I've been reading a lot of feminist and girl empowerment zines and books lately. I'm a big fan of them but it's made me sad that there doesn't seem to be anything similar for youn...

Well, after just finishing reading through my last stack of zines, I feel like I should post and play devil's advocate to my original post, because I didn't e-mail or write to any of the people who...

Starting a zine scene

I'm basically attempting this in a city of 142,000 people right now. I started by talking to local comic shops and coffee shops and getting them to take some of my zines for sale and people to rea...

So, is this going to be a masculist zine, dealing with inequalities that men face, as well? Or just a zine dedicated to male insecurity?

I think this is a wonderful idea!

That sounds like a nice idea. I'd like to contribute something, but I'm not sure I'll come up with anything.

Awesome! I got your zines too. :) Haven't read them, but I glanced through and awesome to know someone else has read Jeffrey Brown. I have a friend who lends me all his comics. I also loved your little things about yard sales - I don't know about where you live, since the charity shops one town over from me are totally different from here, but here there are all these places run by volunteers who've been working there for 100 years and will put pretty much anything on the shelves. So you get these very cohesive ideas of the kind of people whose stuff is there - I once got 5 books by the same relatively obscure author from the same shop over the course of about 6 months. It was mysterious and awesome. The reason I haven't finished your zine is because I spend too much time writing on other people's pages. :)

We haven't, no, but I'd be happy to. I need to print a few more of my current zine, and will probably do that over thanksgiving- probably Fri.

Alright, neat! Well you'd better send it in email form because I don't know if I would be able to find it on this site. It is coomplicated.
I think I will head home to do some baking and then draw and read and draw and sleep.
It was nice to talk to you! It reminded me of late nineties message boards. Maybe more like early 2000s. Anyway.
Bye for now Harley!

Oh, right right! Say, if you were to send me a storyline, and I liked it, could I draw some things up if I felt so inspired?
