Portland Zine Symposium!!!

ZAPP will have a table at this year's Portland Zine Symposium, Friday July 24-Sunday July 26. We'll also be having a forum discussion with the folks from the IPRC (together we are the CASCADIA ZINE COALITION!) about sustaining zine libraries and supporting the zine community in the Northwest. Come by and say hello!

Portland Zine Symposium!!!

ZAPP will have a table at this year's Portland Zine Symposium, Friday July 24-Sunday July 26. We'll also be having a forum discussion with the folks from the IPRC (together we are the CASCADIA ZINE COALITION!) about sustaining zine libraries and supporting the zine community in the Northwest. ZAPP and Hugo House are talking about parting ways.  The Stranger reports:

• Last Tuesday, Hugo House executive director Tree Swenson held a meeting with volunteers from the Zine Archive and Publishing Project (ZAPP) to discuss the possibility of moving ZAPP out from under the House's umbrella. No deadline for the shift was given, and there are plans to have a public hearing to discuss possibilities for the library's future. Any arts organizations interested in partnering with ZAPP should contact Hugo House.
