'I don't want to be an ant'

I currently have two zines on the go - ABSENT PRESENT and CATS TEETH. I love trades (and not strictly for zines - I accept photos, letters, hugs, anything). Write on my wall or email me if you're interested: wintermuse@gmail.com

ABSENT PRESENT aims to find a niche away from pervasive modern culture. It mainly consist of short fiction (with a philosophical bent), reviews, reflections and concepts relating to the outsider, the unconscious, critical theory, anti-moderntity, bygone eras, anarchism, feminism/post-feminism, sexuality, deviancy .I've only completed one issue so far:

# 0: 'Art should stab and wound? The Aesthetics of the Abject', The anarchist art of Eric Drooker, a creepy nihilistic horror story.

CAT'S TEETH is a perzine - I include fragments from my huge collection of diaries, combined with recent reflections, sketches, quotes.

# 1: Title: 'Mislead Me' - my first ever zine attempt - reflections on power relations in love and sex, dark fantasies, mental penetration, submission.

# 2: Title: 'She'll match your spit with spite' - reflections, memories, diary snippets about leaving school behind, my first relationship / sexual experience / girlfriend / blood-sister at 16 - plunging myself in to vampirism, satanism, bdsm - the concluding betrayal and our reunion 6 years later. (It turned pretty epic, twice as long as #1)

#3: Title: 'Feffina' - this is all about an affair I want to have with someone who's in a long term relationship. It's about hidden selves, shyness, lust, tension. I look at my sexual identity and what experiences I want to encourage or avoid in my life.

Inconstancy

Donne said that the hardest lesson/realization in life is INCONSTANCY - that things are never lasting but always changing. I believe that. I've often taken comfort from movement myself. And here I go again, moving house (back to Devon) some friends can't keep track. And when I have to stay in a place for an extended period of time I'm so restless I end up visiting everyone. I think, the only kind of constancy I want in my life is the kind that comes through love and self-love - that placid eupho… Continue

hey! i am glad you enjoyed the cd, et cetera! and, since you are a katie jane fan, i just wanted to drop you a line to inform you of a website that has some live queenadreena and ruby throat...

http://symphonyofghosts.blogspot.com/

i don.t know if you have seen the site, but i thought i would share just in case... especially since you said you don.t have any ruby throat stuff... i actually got the chance to see ruby throat in may - they opened for rasputina on the west coast here in the US. it was quite amazing... anywho, hope the link helps you out and thanks again!
