a place for zinesters - writers and readers
I found some of my dad's old zine collection a couple of years ago. Today I was writing about it for my next issue and I was wondering if anyone knew if Mark P (Sniffin' Glue) is still alive or not.…Continue

I've been looking around online but all the typewriters I've seen have been far outside the price range of your average zine writer. And before someone suggests it: I'm a frequent browser of charity…Continue

I write xyz, a zine about genderqueerity that comes out (hah!) every other month. It's article based, so I've had a lot of people ask me if it's a compzine, but nope. I just don't have the attention span to write twenty pages on the same subject.
Issue 1, Nov/Dec 2010 A few articles on etymology, one on hormones, some pretty pictures and some history. 24 pages inc cover. <- This can be found at marching stars distro, woot!
Issue 2, Jan/Feb 2011 Babies and kids! How children relate to gender, raising a gender-variant child, and gender in children's media. 24 pages inc cover.
Issue 3, Mar/Apr 2011 The place of femme in society. How it gets maligned, what make up is for, a long article on the colour pink, various other bits. 28 pages inc cover.
Issue 4, May/June 2011 A splitzine with Chloe Bunny. My half is about queer bodies and bodily autonomy. 48 pages inc cover.
Issue 5, July/August 2011 Community and conversations: interviews with people who identify as queer about what gender means to them in queer spaces. 28 pages inc cover.
Hunkerdown is "a reaction to how the mainstream media play poverty against ethics when it's perfectly possible to have both", which is my wankiest way of saying it's about eating blackberries and hating rich people.
I've also written a one-off perzine called I FOUGHT IN A WAR. It's text-only and it's about growing up queer in a military family and going to military school. 32 pages.
I ♥ trades. Unfortunately I can only afford to trade within Europe. Shipping UK to US/Canada is a lot more expensive than the other way round. I am hella into zine accessibility, so if you want any of my zines in LP/braille/on coloured paper, drop me a note. email@example.com
Zinefest is in two weeks, and so far we've only got two people signed up to do workshops. If you know anyone who'd be interested in putting one on, please ask them to shoot me an email!
That's quite a long post title, isn't it? Oh well. Here's the skinny:
I'm making a comp zine about the misconceptions people have faced with regards to their disabilities.
Are you going to take a shotgun to the next person who tells you it's all in your head?
Do media representations of your disability make you grit your teeth?
Ever had someone ask does he take sugar, or variations…Continue
