Back in 1994, a small underground print was created by an outcast in highschool with way too much time on her hands. She went around to all the other non-traditional students and asked them to write about how they hate the jocks, or the teachers or the preps, and every couple of months, this small little black and white magazine showed up filled with nothing but true, honest, black and white feelings. Some of her online friends started sending her stuff, and in turn, she mailed it out to them. Over a couple of years, people started requesting them. She ended up sending this little zine to over 15 states.

With the expansion of people, the subjects became broader. It was not only the outcasts anymore. You really couldn't put a label on anybody anymore. Everyone was writing for the same reason. They wanted to say something. And that is all Victim is. A place for anybody to say anything.

Victim is a zine dedicated to OUR first amendment right. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press. This is the place where no matter what the fuck you wanna say, it will be heard.

VICTIM WORKS ONLY BY YOUR SUBMISSIONS

Obviously, Victim is still a small underground thing. We have no funding. Which means we have no writers. Which means we don't have people getting paid to tell you what you wanna read. The only way the words get out is by you sending them to us. We want everything! And we mean everything. We want rants, raves, photos, poems, art, music reviews, movie reviews, things you think are kool, things you think suck, how you wanna kill your neighbor, or plan to rob the bank in the next city. You want to be anonymous? Done! You want everyone to know who you are? Done! This is a zine for the public, not a particular group. And the only way it gets heard is if you want it to be.
