Please Don't Call Me a Singer Songwriter

Please don't call me a SINGER SONGWRITER!Just another singer /songwriter right? Wrong! I've just released a 150 song set of music that I've been working on for the last 10 years. It's important for me that I am not stuck in a specific formula or category such as singer songwriter.I don't like that label. And I don't think it is right to tag it on to me and my Silvertone guitar, Hunkasaurus and His Pet Dog Guitar. The most basic of reasons is - it just is not true.Let's look at both…See More

This week's quizzical quiz question

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:What is 'a swing'? Clue, remember this is an art question, not a playground question. It has something to do with the arts, and a playground swing is not what I mean! So keep lookingIS:[From wikipedia] In musical theater, the term swing is often used to refer to a member of the company who understudies several chorus and/or dancing roles. If an understudy fills in for a lead role, a swing will act the parts normally performed…See More

The answer to, and winner (if any) for, our last contest question of:

See the illustration that comes with this question. This is a version of a bird often portrayed in sub Sahara African art. What kind of bird is it ,and what ethic group is it associated with.

IS:

HORNBILL FIGURE Ivory Coast from the Senufo People

Tin Box Set - Price back up to normal at 33 1/3 per song for 150 songs!

Posted on March 27, 2015 at 8:36am 0 Comments

The introductory month price of $30 for my 150 song, 9 CD, Tin Boxed Set, is over.

The Price now is $50 (includes postage and handling).

I chose that price because 150 songs at $50 = 33 and a third penny each – which seems to fit a music project!

Thanks to all who bought during the introductory period.

I understand more of where you are coming from now. What did you mean by "I think the solution for ending the art monopolies is the government forcing them to choose one or the other." What 'one or the other' are you referring to? I would love to get a copy of MUSEA from you, are you open to trading ? (:

i just used that same info-graphic in my newest zine, good information to know. i am just confused by your answer because those companies don't really "make art" so do you mean any artist connected to those companies or art put out by these companies? just curious as to what angle you are coming from.

what do you consider "corporate art" ?
