Thanks for the tip. I like the BBC in many ways. I wonder if they dare play the new post-bands music? Seems one thing you seldom hear on radio is music with any controversial message, any music with bite.

Tom - check out http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/ I think you'll like it, no ads, no commercial playlist, and shows presented by Bob Dylan, Marc Riley from the Fall and Craig Charles off Red Dwarf. The DJs get to choose all the music they play.

I really think they could be - dump ads, dump music formats, loose all rock bands for a couple of years, play all new music from every corner of the world, integrate music with the other arts and the internet, and I'll listen.

You're right, I don't see newspapers or radio going away, but I do see them become niche markets. Sadly, radio suffers from the Clear Channel effect, and newspapers just aren't fast enough to cover breaking news. They were once interesting mediums...

was the most sophisticated look at literature I've ever seen.

Where is the largest zine collection in the world,
and who donated it? There are over 10,000 zines!!!

IS
New York State Library. It was donated by Mike Gunderloy
He founded Factsheet Five in 1982. It became THE magazine
of zine reviews. And a zine explosion followed.

Everybody loves board games right? Well apparently not.
