Yep, I saw a flyer for this posted in a lunch spot in center city over the weekend. The instructor is Gregory Pizzoli, an MFA candidate in book arts. He has to teach a class of some sort in order to get his MFA, and I can't blame him at all for w...

I usually can remember the prices for every one of the zines or comics or books in my catalog, but sometimes I can't. So, I've always tagged stock with a little sticker on the back, price in pencil. If the cover is handmade or wold be ruined by a ...

I think a customer database is a must! You'll want to have addresses and email addresses to send major updates or print newsletters or things like that. I usually do some kind of seasonal mailing to all of my customers who've ordered in the last y...

Winter Sale!

Not really sure if anyone bothers to read my blog posts on here, but I figured that since I made a coupon for my past customers to use I might as well spread it around for anyone else who wanted to buy up some zines with a 20% discount. Through 1.20.09, you will receive 20% off the total of your zine order if you enter the code "holiday0809" when you check out. Trust me, it works! It's great! And I've got a lot of great new stuff on the site right now, so stop on by and check it out:… Continue

Google Ads

Wow I just realized that the Parcell Press Google ad I made in an attempt to prevent my financial demise is popping up on every "We Make Zines" page! This is a little bit embarrassing and a little bit exciting.

Also, I haven't visited We Make Zines in a couple months because my internet time has been co-opted and monitored by a temp job. But dang, this junk is getting big. I need to re-explore all of the features now.

Hey,
I somehow came into a copy of Cultor-Sore 16 and after re-reading it, searched you out and was wondering if you have any more issues, and if you'd be up for a trade?

Hello friend of Sticky. If you have made a zine recently, are still reprinting old copies of a zine, have old copies lying around or are thinking of making zine, we want you to stock it with us! If you haven't stocked with us before, here's how you do it. Visit our website (www.stickyinstitute.com) and download a stockists form. Fill it out and send it with up to ten copies of your zine to Sticky, P.O. Box 310, Flinders Lane, VIC 8009. We have them on the shelves for 6 months at which time, if they've sold out we'll pay you and if they haven't totally sold out we'll pay you for the copies you have sold and send the remaining copies back to you or donate them to the Exchange Box. To those of you have stocked with us previously, keep sending us your zines! Zine culture is alive and kicking in Australia and Sticky is an ardent defender of zine culture!
Love from Sticky!
