What brought you to making zines?

So, I've made a collaborative zine with a local group and it was super fun! I'd love to make my own zine, I think I've got plenty of stuff to say and I love the creative aspect of zine making. Blogging? ha, that's so 2007. :-)Seriously though, here's a couple questions: A)what brought you to making zines? B)Did you approach your issue #1 with a sense of "OMG. This won't be any good. WTF am I doing?" and if so, how did you make yourself get over it?? I think that's where I am.I think that's…See More

Queer Zines and Queer Zinesters

Are you a queer zinester (broadly defined, of course)? Do you write about your genderfucking, transitioning, same-and-other-gender lovin' experiences, or about queer and LBGTQ communities and cultures? If so, let's start talking about it.See More

To Zine, or not To Zine...

I'm considering making a zine. I've done a collaborative zine with a local group and have kind of been thinking of doing one myself ever since. The zine would be one that embraces music through feminism, if that makes any sense. My love for music is pretty in touch with my sense of feminism, and that's just the way it works for me. :)

As I'm completely 100% new to the world of zine crafting, tips are appreciated. Tips on the craft. And as a complete music nerd, if you have good queer bands to recommend to me, please do. While I could easily be headed for a musical overload as it is, I'm enjoying it all so very much!!
