About Thrifty Times

Thrifty Times is a Boston-based zine about and inspired by the art of thrift shopping.

Some articles are directly about thrifting, such as thrift store reviews, a guide to thrifty gifting, or thrifty tips about how to repurpose commonly thrifted items. Other articles are more indirectly related to thrifting, such retro craft projects or vintage recipes culled from thrifted magazines or books. Thrifty Times also includes reviews of thrifted record albums, video games, CDs, and books. You may find the occasional piece of thrift-related fiction or artwork, as well. Most issues contain a page of original (hilarious) comic strips by Nick Burgess.

Thrifty Times is created with the use of a typewriter, rubber stamps, stickers, clip art, pens, and cut and pasted images. No computers!
