2009 is over?

Looking back at my first blog post, I can't believe 2009 is done. A better year than 2008, yes, but 2009 did nothing for me. Or I did nothing for it. 2010..... the more productive year?

So, I was pleasantly surprise when I went to my local library-- Multnomah county's Hollywood branch-- and found that they have started a zine exchange! Now, not only do they carry zines in many branches and offer a bunch of great zine info online, but they also facilitate zine trades!! They had a box below the zine shelf full of zines for trade on the honor system, like many book-borrowing… Continue

Ah, so teaching is tough. My first week was pretty crazy cause it took me about 3 hours to plan for one lesson. And I had 14 in one week. Do the math. But this week is already easier and the kids are so much fun! I definitely recommend this gig if you're deciding to travel. K x

Hey! Well, I usually work as an editor and freelance writer but I've just completed an online TEFL course with i-to-i and have headed over to Taiwan to work with a company called Hess. I'm training with them at the moment in Taipei and should start work in about two weeks. I've never done it before so can't really tell you what it's like yet but hopefully it'll be awesome. And it pays pretty ok too! I'll keep you posted on how it's going. K x
