Who the heck is this chick?

Hello, fellow zinesters! I'm Rhonda, nice to meet you!!

I work at an amazing coffee shop called Goody's Juice & Java, where I am assistant manager and lead barista. I LOOOOVE my job! When I'm not slinging lattes, I spend my time hanging out with my adorable kitty, Myrddin, and my boyfriend of almost 2 years, Adam. I am pretty much constantly creating something. I love making things out of junk, salvaging what would otherwise end up in a landfill. I am also obsessive about thrift store shopping (which prompted me to start ReStyle, my awesome thrift store fashion zine)!

Despite having talked about starting a zine since I was about 12, I just very recently actually FINISHED my first one! I intend to be very prolific, as I am now hooked on zine making!!! So many ideas... And I am determined to see them through! You can find my zines (and a bunch of other good shtuffs) at my Etsy site! I'm always up for trades as well, give me a shout if you are interested!

Ideas

I've been toying with a few ideas, things to work on between what I already have going...


  • Photo study minis -- I already have a good start on a lot of photo studies. I have series of fire hydrants, fences, and churches already, so depending on length I really wouldn't need to take many additional photos to complete a zine (seperate zine for each theme). I'm thinking of scrapbooking a layout for each little page but not actually attaching the photos. Then I could get the backgrou

So, I have a zillion ideas and rather than cram them into one big mish-mash, I am trying to seperate out some of my themes into more specific, focused ideas.

i love your zines! it was so conveniant actually, i'd been planning to hit a thrift store for awhile, my wardrobe really needed a lift and clothing stores are so damn expensive, but it had been a few years since i'd really hardcore hit a thrift store, and then your zine was just the perfect motivation. i ended up going out, trying lots on and getting a few really nice things. and i will be heading back soon to get more! so thanks for the inspiration! <3
