My name is Michelle Aiello. I'm 30 years old and I was born and raised in Chicago, where I currently reside. I started Indigo zine in 1995. I also make greeting cards and organize a semi-annual D.I.Y. event called Ephemera Festival.

More information on myself and my projects can be found at www.indigozine.com.

mhh, make your original in fullsize, and use the copier to reduce it by 50%. then paste your pages on the same sheet and go to the copy-shop, cut & fold.

If you're already using your computer, you can check to see if you have MS Publisher. That can be set up for a custom page size booklet pretty easily.

How do I make a quarter sized zine?

Indigo has always been half sized, which is relatively easy to set up in MS Word and then cut & paste. Issue #17 done and ready to print, but it's a double issue, and I want to make the second part a quarter sized zine. Can anyone offer any advice/tips/techniques? Thanks!

I picked up issue #16 from Sticky. Actually, Luke sent a box of zines up for my zine fair in Wollongong and I picked it out.

Yeah, make friendship books! I was just thinking that I don't have any female penpals (in email or letter format) so I think I'll have to send some FBs out into the world.

And thanks, I like your photos too!

PS do you still do Ephemera festival?

Hey Michelle, thanks for adding me. Re. the cover of your latest issue - I've been meaning to finish a short story for some time called "The Seeing Tree", it could almost be an illustration for it.
