Profile Information

About me.

I'm an illustrator/print maker living in London working part time as a graphic designer for a home furnishings designer and spending the rest of my time trying to eek out a living by putting out prints and zines.

I'm a self-confessed music nerd and record collector - I wig out to the likes of Pavement, Jim O'Rourke, Joanna Newsom, Smog, Kyuss, Will Oldham, Broken Social Scene, Mogwai, Voice of the Seven Woods, Can, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Drive Like Jehu, Neutral Milk Hotel, Tortoise, MF Doom, Quasimoto, Velvet Underground, Pentangle, Os Mutantes, The United States of America, Aphrodite's Child, Serge Gainsbourg, Lalo Schiffrin, Ennio Morricone, Akron/Family, Animal Collective, Wolf Parade, Modest Mouse, Deerhunter, Goblin, Grizzly Bear, Sam and the Plants, Lords, Fugazi, Special Benny, The Smiths and much more besides. I quite like lists too.

I have just put out a zine called 'The Music One' featuring twenty up-and-coming illustrators portrait's of their favourite band or musician. It's the first zine I've done and it's been a mission but I've got the bug now. Feel free to email regarding trades etc. More info here - http://matpringle.blogspot.com/2010/09/music-one-for-sale.html

If anyone wants to meet up to discuss zines, go for bicycle rides, go to gigs, do some drawing, do some screen-printing, hunt for records in musty charity shops or just generally creatively embrace London then feel free to get in touch.

I have a blog - http://www.matpringle.blogspot.com

Hi Man, thank you. Just getting some together, trying to get something happening locally with music and art, zines are a cool way of getting the word out, and iving focal points for people. Let you know when they're ready...
