zinesters in college

for zinesters in college. you do not need to be a traditional college age student, everyone is welcome, obviously! If you just are looking to advertise your zine, or ask for contributions, they will be deleted without warning if they do not have any clear relation to being a zinester in college.See More

I'm the editor a small art/lit zine called Khubz. Based out of Pittsburgh, Khubz looks to highlight the distinct art and culture of the Rustbelt through art, photography, and literature. Through an ever-growing network of artists and academics, I hope to strike a balance between the personalized and unique appeal of a zine and the creative direction and quality of a literary journal, creating a final product inviting to all readers.

Khubz allows me to draw upon my interests in political activism, literature, and the cultural identity of western Pennsylvania to produce something that has been well received thus far. However, I still have no idea what I'm doing with this zine. I've always enjoyed zines and the DIY ethic, but being trained in lit studies and journalism, I'm still figuring out exactly what it is I'm doing with Khubz.

We're always looking to add new contributors to the publication, so feel free to send art, photography, poetry, prose, or short stories to khubzine@gmail.com or check us out at www.freewebs.com/khubzine

hey! since your in the literary zine group, how would you like to join a collaboration literary zine? the idea is to make a story together (it doesnt matter what genre you do, the more diverse, the better!). for more info, you can look at the collaboration page in my site.

hope you can participate! right now it's still just an idea, so we are hoping to get more people to participate :)

also, both writers and illustrators are welcome :)
