I'm Jen - a 30 year old fat queer zinester from Los Angeles. I used to run MAD People Distro for seven years and have been writing She's Not a Morning Person zine since 1998.

The newest issue is #10.
Description: From the intro: "This is a love letter to all of my fellow cat ladies and cat men out there." The zine is about my two cats and other cats that have graced my life. It's about how my cat-love evolved and how it was destiny. It's lighthearted and purrific and I hope you like it.
40 pages, 1/4-sized, assorted covers

Nichole said… Hi Jen! Would you be up to trading a couple issues of your zine for a couple of mine? My perzines often have threads of mental health strung through them, and the first issue of A Visitor in Myself is about BPD.
Shophia Sherwood said… Hey Jen, would you be up for trading with me? Let me know! x
fishspit said… hello jen,
i think i would very much like to read your 'zine. I think you may find my 'zine of interest. I'll trade if you'd like.
my 'zine is called wiseblood and i have a number of issues i will send you concerning my stays in psychiatric wards and crazy stories of my life as an addict. My only warning is that it is rather bitter and sassy.
Oh, plus, almost every cover is cat-related. i'm obsessed with cats.
if you'd like to trade my address is 1304 175th Pl. NE, Bellevue, WA, 98008
thanks, fishspit.

I talk about my childhood and what it was like to grow up in a chaotic, oftentimes abusive household and what it was like to grow up with an addict. There is also writing on how my relationship with my father shaped me, for both the good and the bad. The zine is raw,…
