you can get copies from me (i still have both #1 and #2) or you can get #2 from paper trail distro. If you want to get some from me it would be $3 for both plus whatever shipping is to your side of the world. <3!

I know exactly what it's like not to have enough time to be making zines! I am not a prolific zine-maker either, simply due to time restraints.
Your stuff sounds really cool. A zine about children's books? great idea. I have used some childrens books illustrations in my zines.
My zines at the moment don't have any style or direction!! I'm experimenting i guess. So far I have completed only one! AM working on a poetry zine right now and a third about a totally different subject. My zine is called Viscera.
would love to see some of your work.

hi katie. am working on 2 new zines at the moment. I have only just started making zines, actually, although I've been reading them for ages! What are you working on right now?

That's great! I will be accepting contributions for the next couple of months so a couple of weeks is early (but the earlier the better!)

etc etc etc

*NEW* i have uploaded some comics onto my brand spanking new livejournal. http://kateisabeast.livejournal.com

- I am Kate.

- I read and make zines, art books and art in general.

- I particularly love perzines and zines about fat/fat activism. However i can like anything that is well written and pretty.

- I am a comic geek.

- I am an artist.

- I would love to illustrate for other peoples zines.

- I just burnt my finger getting pizza out the oven.

I have made 2 zines, Abstract Duck (which was my first project for uni and is about stuff that nourishes me.) and Fat Femme (about me and fatness and family and has some super cute drawings in it).

Some of my artwork is at: www.tankgurl1.deviantart.com
Please check it out.

Zinefest!

I am really looking forward to the zinefest in London, see my events bit for info, as I am part of the exhibition thats part of the fest. I havent had any of my comics in an exhibition before and Im really nervous that no one will like them or that they will seem totally shite next to all the very competant female comic artists. But I am also looking forward to being in an exhibit with fabulous women artists. Its just all so cool.

Anyway, I hope people will come and spend time at the fest and t… Continue
