Profile Information

I'm a slightly reluctant college student, ex-special ed. kid, official crazy person since the age of seven and a half, diy enthusiast, budding circus performer and anarchist, just-past-teenage angster-girl, and science fiction/fantasy/horror junkie. Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet and Cindy Crabb's doris got me into zines.

* * * *

I make Apple, Flood, & Spring, which is more-or-less half-size and more-or-less a per zine, filled with odd little drawings and cartoons, rambles on anything that happens to cross my mind, and cut-out pictures from old encyclopedias and National Geographics. It's largely handwritten, but I swear, cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die, that I have very legible, neat handwriting. There are two issues so far:

Issue One, October 2009 is fourteen pages long not counting the front and back covers. It discusses human nature, various houses I have known, and my love for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Issue Two, March 2010 is twenty-eight pages long not counting the front and back covers. It discusses my propensity for unfashionable earnestness, my discomfort with conventional dating and romance, witchy fractured-soul madness, the answers to twenty strange questions, and headphones.

For the time being, I prefer trades (other zines, buttons, patches, stickers, mix CDs, pretty bandannas or ribbons, use-your-imagination) to money, but you can also send $0.75 for issue one or $1.25 for issue two, in well-concealed cash. If you're interested, leave a comment!

Or, snail-mail me:

Hey your Apple, Flood and Spring zine sounds really good. I just joined up here, and really just got into this whole scene. I made up my own zine, Potential Mode #1... it's 24 pages... art, stories, comics--also handwritten but easily readable--wanna trade zines? I'm on FB too if you wanna look there.
