always glad to meet someone who isn't in a huge big rush to do everything everywhere all at once
I'll be around NE mpls for several more years, and my time frame for finding a home for the printing gear is pretty much that I want it gone before we find our little organic farm and retire from our day jobs to a quiet country life. With a music studio in the barn...
forgot all about sisters camelot since I moved to the far north end of North East Mpls 5 years ago
they are one of the groups I thought might be interested in a donation of printing equipment that doesn't require computers, or even electricity, to print stuff with.
so you fix gear, eh - I have this ancient Roland JC120 in my studio, last time someone pluged a guitar into it the reverb was out... (I'm a drummer) but on the other hand I can afford to pay to have it fixed, I just never seem to get around to it...
I'll get back to you on mimeos but nudge me if you don't hear from me in a while. I'm designing a book at the moment (when I'm not at my day job) and the book needs to be done and at the printer before Thanksgiving.
Discussion to throw out: I would love to give all my mimeo gear to a group, a zine collective maybe, if such a thing exists. I could help get it running and then I'd retire to an occasional advisory position. (I was picturing such a thing happening in the basement of the Hard Times or one of the food or bike co-ops or something else nonprofit but stable enough that the gear wouldn't have to be moved around every couple months for lack of a space... )
