Joshua James Amberson's Page

I'm Joshua James Amberson. I've done the zine Basic Paper Airplane for the last nine years. I've also run Antiquated Future (formerly the Ms. Valerie Park Distro) for the past five years. I also write for a wide array of zines, magazines, and online journals. In the past, I've done a lot of recording and touring with bands (Letters being the main one). I work as a bookseller and a freelance writer. In addition to Basic Paper Airplane, I've also wrote The Prince Zine and Growing Things: A Guide to Beginning Gardening and do volunteer event organizing for the Portland Zine Symposium and the Independent Publishing Resource Center.

You can order my zines by sending a few bucks/a trade/some stamps (or combination thereof) to PO Box 42081 Portland, Or. 97242 USA. Or you can also order through Antiquated Future, samesame.

which of the homefree zines do you not have? i will definitely send you the letters one, and i'm down for anything you want to trade. also, it was wonderful to run into you the other day. like some bizarro world where i'm walking home from work and somehow end up in olympia. i wish that would happen more often. :)

Hi :) I'd like to order your third issue for distro consideration. I am going to send you some of my old zine stock as a trade, is that ok? Also, is that still your current address listed here? Thanks!
